Mike's Story of Legal System Abuse

• Imagine having a prosperous career, spanning over 40 years, as a HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL Financier and Public Relations Professional.
   

• One day, without any warning, you are arrested for the first time in your life at age 61. They throw you in jail charged with a conspiracy to commit securities fraud. In order to get out of jail you are required to post a $500,000 bond and your business and livelihood are devastated, leaving you financially destroyed.
   

• After two (2) years you are tried and not one witness gives any testimony to the alleged act to which you are charged. Then imagine that a prosecutor deliberately lies to a jury and then, like the President Donald J. Trump case, manufactures a nonexistent crime out of thin air, successfully using a corrupt and broken legal system to get a conviction. What's more absurd is they convict you of securities fraud in a case where your undisputed loss is over fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000).
   

• You are stunned as you were railroaded and convicted of a fictitious made-up crime that was not even charged in the indictment, and therefor there was no opportunity to defend such fabricated crime at the trial. The conviction was literally accomplished by prosecutorial misconduct in which you have no redress but the appeals process. The judge stating her belief that you were also a victim gives you a sentence of one (1) year and one day which translates to about six months in prison.
   

• Then, expecting sanity and justice, you appeal to the United States Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit in New York. The Appeals Court incredibly ignored your brief documenting the unconstitutional trial, upholds the conviction, and remands your case for resentencing. Somehow when you are resentenced the sentence was changed from one (1) year to five (5) years, even though the recommendation of the advisory parole board recommended time served (no prison).
   

• Add to the above that this nightmare has lasted seven years and you suffered a serious debilitating stress related stroke, at the same time your wife of almost fifty years, Cynthia Watts, is battling Metastatic Breast Cancer and needs your help and financial support in every way, just to reasonably survive.
